Mother’s Day is today and I want to say Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers. Whether you gave birth, adopted, mentored, raised or are a spiritual mom you are to be celebrated this day.
A MOTHER'S DAY POEM
Mother is a name held sacred
By most mortals of the earth;
It means great love and sacrifice
From the very day of birth,
A love that's so full of beauty,
So tender, so very true!
Something, seemingly, from Heaven
That has come to me and you.
There's no love so understanding
And so faithful to the end
As a Mother's love-God bless her! -
That to us our Lord did send.
~Gertrude Tooley Buckingham, "Mother" (1940s) -
MOTHER'S DAY QUOTES
“I want my children to have all the things I couldn’t afford.
Then I want to move in with them.”
“Children are natural mimics who act like their parents
despite every effort to teach them good manners.”
“There is only one pretty child in the world, and every mother has it.”
CRAZY THINGS CHILDREN SAY TO THEIR MOTHER
1.) “Mom, why do you have those lines on your face?”
2.) “If you have a baby growing in your tummy, what’s growing in your bottom?”
3.)“Dad and I were talking and we think you need to be more athletic.”
4.) “Mommy, your hair looks brown. You need to put some yellow in it.”
5.) “Mommy, why do you have so many more shoes than I do?”
6.) “Mommy, what do you want to be when you grow up?”
As your coach I have two questions to ask:
- Are you taking care of yourself like you do others?
- What can you do that is fun for yourself?
Have a GREAT month,
